Visual Voicemail

Hello-
I am interested in getting visual voicemail on this phone however I don't want to pay the $2 per month that they charge to get visual voicemail from the stock voicemail app. I tried setting up the free visual voicemail app "Youmail" but was having some trouble... then I read that Boost doesn't allow call forwarding.

Is there any workaround for this? Anyone had any luck getting free visual voicemail with their Boost Galaxy S2? Is this something that can be helped by rooting the phone?

I have visual voice mail in the one shop stop in the all things root section. You don't have to be rooted to use it.Just check unknown sources under settings. Then download it and click it to install it.

Yeah that is correct. As far as I know there aren't any free ones. I Just wipe the apps data and uninstall it and keep getting 30 day trials. But to be honest they are all horrible at transcribing voicemail anyway. I just use it so I don't have to call voice mail and can easily switch between messages

Well, there are free Visual Voicemail apps out there (YouMail, for example), however I am reading that these apps don't work on Boost Mobile because Boost doesn't support "Conditional Call Forwarding," (ie, where you tell the phone to forward calls to another number after 30 seconds or 5 rings or whatever). I know it's not perfect but I would like visual voicemail for the convenience without having to wipe the apps off every 30 days. Any ideas on how to get a Boost phone to do this?

I happily use my visual voicemail without the text translations. It was horrible at doing it, and the text would never be accurate. I just like it for the ability to play the message in the order I want and not have to call voicemail to get it.
