Root Vituous 3.2 custom or stock kernel?

I just flashed the latest Virtuous 3.2 ROM via ROM Manger. It's my first time flashing a ROM so I'm still trying to figure out exactly what events take place.

Did it automatically install the Virtuous Stock Kernel too? I noticed there is also a Vituous Custom Kernel. Which one do you all use? Do either of these kernels include a undervolt or shall I also install SetCPU?

EDIT: ok, brain fart. I looked and I see that I have 2.6.32.17-virtuous-v3rmk@droid #3 kernel. now what advantages is there with the Custom? And what do you all prefer?

I have the v3 custom kernel, battery life is better then with stock. Upgrade from my last custom kernel. Custom kernel is the way to go for better battery life. Doesn't run slow neither, don't see why not.

Awesome! I have about 20 minutes left at work so I'll flash that custom one now! ;)

Wait a sec... isn't the V3 kernel already folded into the Virtuous 3.20 build? From the changelog...

New custom kernel (v3) based on HTC kernel: 2.6.32.17-g9a2fc16:
  1. Not overclocked or undervolted, very intentionally.
  2. Enabled all frequency governors.
  3. Switched from default anticiaptory IO scheduler to deadline.
  4. Compiled-in support for CIFS, NFS and VPN.
  5. Eliminated kernel debugging code to improve performance.
  6. Perflock disabled.

Or are you guys talking about a different "custom V3 kernel?"

So just to double check, if you flash Virtuous 3.20, you will get the custom kernel? Still having a hard time grasping all of the root lingo....
