Newby here. I have a htc droid eris. I was wondering if someone could tell me how to get my phone to voice announce who is calling me. I upgraded from a verizon boulder and it would announce who is calling.

have not heard of such and app .... search the Market ..

There are a couple apps in the Market which I had to install the Text-To-Speech Extension app (in the Market too) for them to work. They are however LAME since the two I tried only had a low pitched mechanical voice. So, if you find something with a better voice than the ugly one, let me know. Also, the voice announcement never came over bluetooth since HTC has bluetooth so BROKEN on the Hero and Eris line of Android handsets.
