Root voicemail pending

running cm7.
not sure if this is a root issue or not...
but, after I get a voicemail and listen to it and delete it. In my notification bar it still says that I have a voicemail pending. I click on it and my voicemail says no new messages, yet the notiifcation is still in my notification drop down menu.
If I reboot the phone the notification goes away, as it should since I have no new voicemails.
how do i remove this notification, once all my voicemails have been read/deleted?...without having to reboot?

didnt we solve this once or was that someone else? it was like two days ago..?

VVM needs to be working properly. It was unable to download that voicemail and lists it as pending. Do you have vvm installed? Is it provisioned? Are you connected to data?

well they would be in system/app or data/app...but i dont think you have two, i think its just the couldnt download your visual voicemail kind of error due to your vvm not working

it might have been me..although I have seen other voicemail/text issues on here in the past few days.
I have been on and off trying to fix the 9016 text I keep getting and now this voicemail notification wont go away.

yes I am connected to wifi and data most of the day.
I do have vvm installed, not sure if its provisioned? what exactly does that mean?

try restoring data for it from titanium, then compose a new voicemail to yourself and send it, should provision it.

evomattnc, in that link you posted, you had mentioned that you get the vvm service because your trial restarts when you flash a new rom? Would the service continue if you kept a rom for say, 60 days? (I flash quite often , so it's more out of curiosity than anything else.)

I get the voice to text trials free. You probably have to flash on. I've never stayed on a ROM long enough lol. Visual voice mail is always free...

I was just saying cause I had the same problem before after I did the vvm fix I would revive the voice mail and get another notifaction behind it of courses I would.check my voice.mail on the first notifaction. And then I would still show an in incomming voice mail... it was cause I had the app duplicated once.I figured that out and got rid of it no mo problems

Yeah that happens but his sounds like the voice mail pending notification

This happened to me today. I got a VM in vvm, also had the pending vm notification. Checked both vvm and the dial in vm, notification wouldn't go away. Rebooted phone, no mo notification. I was in a shit reception area, 0-2 bars roaming in the local Shop and Save supermarket.

I think it's just Sprint vvm gets cornfused when it has bad reception and a vm comes in. Remember the vvm is data based and not radio based like the old school vm.

A.T.M. homies, keep it real!
