Help Volume Up button starting to fail..

My volume up button is beginning to fail. I am having to press the volume harder and harder to get it to work.

Hopefully it is not a going to be a trend...

It might be beneficial to clean the area by appling some rubbing alcohol via cotton ball or cotton swab ("q-tip").. a lot of it (with the device shut down).

It's ok to soak it, alcohol evaporates quickly.. engineers use it on circuit boards etc routinely.

i'd make sure you power the phone down and remove the batt if you do that...

If it keeps up after trying to clean it once it fails contact VZW and get a warranty replacement that is hardware failure and it shouldn't cost you anything

I always try fixing things myself first but no need to struggle going forward. This phone is too new to "live with" a hardware problem. Request a new device if necessary.
