Help Wallpaper size

I'm trying to figure out what size the picture needs to be to correctly fit as wallpaper. I've looked online and thought I found what the size should be but then I tried a jpg that is 810x1160 and I was only able to fit less than 1/2 on the screen since the cropper only let me use that much.

So what size should I be able to use to fill all or most of the screen and get the whole picture in?

That's correct. Its a 1280x720 screen, and the background doesn't scroll fully to the 3 homescreens. Instead it only scrolls 2x the screen size across the 3 screens...if that makes sense.

1440x1280 is the best size for wallpapers to fit perfectly from my experience :)

Okay that makes sense. I've finally noticed that the wallpapers I've used do shift as I move from one screen to another. It's not like having one picture that repeats as you move side to side from one screen to the next. Although actually I wish it was as I'd like to see the entire picture on the home screen and if it were repeated whether I scroll left or right would be okay with me.

So I guess if you wanted a picture to be completely viewable in the home screen, it would have to be 1440 (or less) by 256 (1280 / 5). Does that sound correct?

Make it 720w X 1280h and set wallpaper to not scroll in settings.
