what about a mac ? plz!![]()
macs are not my strong point but if there is a ADB (sdk) for mac, same steps, just substitute terminal for its prompt/command and it should work. However linux typically likes macs

Not to be "judgmental" or anything but why get a android when you have a mac? I'm not trying to like start a fight or anything just trying to get the logic behind it?
I fixed the issues with only getting $ instead of root. I can also make it permanent. I am writing a step-by-step process for both windows and linux.
EDIT

for the new step outline.
Nice jobe Crepiduse. Is there any 'backing up' of the rom or system files (nand) we should be doing? If so, how? Sorry, I'm new to Android and this whole rooting thing.

It was free. But ill will just load up linix if I spelled that right.
hahah free is a good answer, yeah live cd should work, or you can just install ubuntu but you'll need to partition your drive
now we just got to get the rom makers to make roms and get a custom recovery that we can actually access...![]()
