Want to return my EVO 4G back to an un-rooted state. But I would like to keep (or backup) my settings, apps and data after performing the un-root - is this possible somehow? Thanks in advance for any info.

Root Want to un-root, but can I keep my apps and settings?

unfortunately, the only way to save your data and apps is to stay rooted. once you unroot, everything gets wiped and you cannot use titanium backup to restore your apps and data. why do you want to unroot? you can just flash the rooted ota stock rom.
