Is it safe to download applications from a warez site? Or do I have to be cautious about what I download and read the permissions before installing? If there isn't anything fishy in the permissions should I install/uninstall?

Help warez site, is it safe?

Installing an app from anywhere except the known markets is always risky. Just be careful with those permissions, or look for the app somewhere else.
Personally, ive never heard of people distrubuting malicious apps via sources other than the market.
usually the apps youd ever WANT to get on a warez site, are the paid apps from the market, the apps that have quality developers behind them.
and although its better just to pay, I dont know how many people would rip apart the .apk, inject malicious code that requires different permissions, and upload that to a warez site.
in short, I doubt youd find any malicious stuff. but the very nature of the question suggests you are trying to pirate paid software, which I think isnt allowed to be discussed here.

The biggest problem is that it is stealing. Flat out stealing. There is no grey area here. Unless you get apps from somewhere that is approved by the developer of that app, it is stealing and it is wrong. Beyond that, you can do some major harm to your phone. I have stated it elsewhere before, pirated apps are known to contain malware which can harm your phone, and possibly do worse than that (bank acct info, credit card info, and other things). These apps don't cost that much, if you really want them you can buy them legit.
I am not saying everything from there will have malware or whatever, but you don't know. Nobody here can say for sure, nobody here has seen the source for those. I would not trust anything form there as they are known to deal with warez/piracy, so how can you trust that?

Yes, this site IS a pirate / warez site and is NOT safe.
As has been previously been mentioned, you are not only talking a chance of getting a virus or having a keylogger, etc. installed and your personal information stolen (and re-distributed), but you are doing the developer community a huge disservice by having anything to do with them.
AndroidForums will not be a party to helping promote these sites in any way.
