[ROM] Warm Z TwoPointTwo By Incubus26Jc [Beta1] [1-5-2011] - xda-developers

Just a heads up in case no one's seen this yet, while waiting to release TwoPointTwo RLS5 to the masses on Friday, Incubus has dropping this little nugget on us. It's still in beta and is based on Super Z and Warm. I haven't flashed yet because I'm waiting a few days to see what problems, if any, arise. I haven't used any of the Z ROM's yet and being a die hard Warm user I'm very excited to try this and the new sense out. I'll probably stick with RLS5 when it comes out, but will still try it.

For anyone who has flashed a Z ROM, what are the known issues? Under Issues for this it says "normal Z ROM issues" I know 720p recording (and recording in general??) doesn't work, but what else isn't functioning.
 
I too am a very loyal Warm user, after trying almost everything else. LOVE his roms. Can't wait to see RLS5 and how the new Z rom does.
 
Maybe it is just me, but this ROM was unusable for me. I know it is very early but this ROM was very choppy and slow. I played around with it for a little while. It seems like a great base, but very far from being usable.
 
I just wish the source for the new Sense would drop for our phone. I'm convinced that until it is dropped "officially" that these bugs will not be worked out.
 
I completely agree, Cincy! I may be weird, but I don't even want to try the new sense until it's completely bug free. Plus, I feel like once I try it I'll love it and will hate the old sense and don't want to be limited to just Z ROM's.

Side note, RLS5 was released yesterday and it's pretty awesome! Had an issue with Navigation at first, but it's fine now and working perfectly.
 
Was really nice feeling, despite what some people have sad it was really smooth and quick for the most part. I reverted back when I had an important call to make which required me pressing a few touch keys however I was unable to press the keys completely ignored my inputs, once this gets the bugs worked out ill be very enticed. I've had problems with all of warm ROMS though :( too bad cause thus far its the only Rom I'd consider to run day to day thus far.... (rsl5 and the others have random reboots and its driving me nuts!)

RLS3 with the packaged kernel (Adrynalyne's) was the bomb and by far the best version ever made. If you like Myn's Warm but need perfection, you might try contacting Incubus and see if he can send it to you or point you to a working download somewhere. I ran that since it's release up until a few days ago when I switched to CM7. I'm telling you straight, it's worth tracking down.

On all Z ROM's you need to go into Settings > Sounds > and change audible touch tones to long to fix the in call tones
 
Love this rom and the new sense! So fast and works so much better! The people widget especially. I used to click on one of my friend to text and it would open a blank text. She was the only one it would do it to but now it works great. Plus the new camera is freaking amazing! Love, love, love it!
 
i really love this rom, but some some reason recently it keeps chugging and i have no idea why....also every time i loook the "back-up spinny thing" is spinning backing something unknown up and killing my battery
 
zero, it's probably backing up to HTC sense...thats what i noticed tended to back up often even though i had it set to once a day..so i just undid it, since htcsense.com doesn't work rgiht anyway. but i looooooove this rom, and i have no more typing lag with it! wooo! i love sense 2.0 as well.

I still haven't even flashed this yet! I started the thread, it was still in beta and then Warm 2.2 RLS5 came out the next day and that was that. I'll eventually give it a whirl one day haha
 
i cant seem to get a good download- tried it a couple times and cant get the md5 sums to match. :eek: is there are mirror somewhere?

ive tried to install it anyway,and it hangs at the bootscreen

edit:
well,my md5 sum still doesnt match,but i downloaded again this time it looks to be working... im past the white htc screen.

I feel ya on the boot hanging. I downloaded it, partitioned the SD card to make sure all data was gone, did a complete wipe, cleared dalvik cache, mounted the sd card to usb and copied the rom over, and then flashed it. There appeared to be some kind of graphic glich with the progress bar. Not sure if that was related. Upon restarted it just hangs at the HTC screen. Waited about 10 minutes to make sure it was really hanging since first boots can be slow. Kinda bummed, this rom looked really slick.

EDIT:
Tried to flash the beta for kicks and giggles and it seems to be working.
 
I love this ROM when it's working right , very fast and smooth but I get a lot of random reboots and keyboard lag

I'm still on the kernal it came with , gonna try a couple diffrent ones before giving up on it
 
this rom has been crap for me recently,EDIT: ya i hate this rom anymore :(.. when i first got it, it was smooth as silk! lighting fast, now all it does its random reboot and chuggs horribly and FC everything i really have no idea why
