Being identified as "them" isn't an issue. If someone isn't comfortable with conventional gender roles prescribed by others then why shouldn't they be allowed to do their own thing? Who does that harm?

As for the rest, it will be the usual answer: money and connections protect a lot of people from the consequences of all sorts of shitty behaviour.
Thankfully society seems to for the most part to have moved past this pronoun stupidity . Yes there are still a couple of idiots trying to keep the movement a live in 2023. In reality accept for online how many times did you encounter someone using pronouns?

Frequently, and still do. But I work with large numbers of people from many different backgrounds.

Well their options were limited: this blew up after the principal photography was done, so it was pretty much "release it or pass it off as a tax loss". And they'd already done the latter with a high profile superhero movie, so repeating that move might have had different reputational costs for the studio.

Of course we don't know whether the poor opening of the film was anything to do with Miller's behaviour. It could be completely unrelated: given how like attention most people pay to really important stuff you should not assume that most of the potential audience even know about this, never mind care.

Well here's some good news...
It's not a surprise: Gunn is relaunching the DC movie franchise, and from what little I've heard seems to be aiming for an almost if not completely clean slate. Given that the Flash movie lost money, which is the only thing the studio bosses really care about, it's not likely they would be arguing his case, much more likely the opposite.
