Warranty void if running stock google rom and bootloader unlocked?

My Galaxy Nexus' volume up button is broken and I was wondering if Samsung will not fix it because I am running Yakju and my bootloader is unlocked.

If its a hardware problem there's no reason they shouldn't fix it if you relock it and have the stock ROM on there.

backup everything with titanium, put a copy on your PC. Lock, Stock, and two smoking barrels ;)

When you send your phone to Samsung they are going to wipe it and put it back to stock, they did to my phone when I broke the screen. I think the whole 'don't root your phone' thing because it voids your warranty is a carrier issue not a manufacture issue. If your button truly is not working, they are going to fix it, wipe it, test it, and send it on it's way. -Ryan
