Watching clips on the BBC News site?

Is there any reason I can't watch news clips on the BBC News site?
You know, the tiny little Flash videos they have embedded on some news stories

It's load, I can click play, then it comes up with a an error exclamation in a yellow triangle, you know the one.

Any reason for this?

I think you need Flash 10.1 to watch BBC content officially, which (again) officially is only available on Android (FroYo) 2.2.

I thought getting the Skyfire browser would work, but it doesn't seem to (not for me anyhow).

Edit: Happy to be proven wrong, I'm new to Android myself. :)
 
errr, I can watch the bbc news videos fine using stock browser, unless they have changed recently...

(well, a little out of sync)
 
Hmm, now that you mention it, I have watched a video on BBC sport site, but now I can't. Telling me the version of Flash isn't supported (when pressing the yellow triangle with the exclamation mark inside).
 
The BBC should really be moving over to HTML5, it is possible to use Flash as well. I've seen other sites that have done this, it's a great way of supporting mobile browsers and desktop machines that haven't gone HTML5 yet.

Guess the BBC have DRM issues though? I dunno...
 
Would the news clips be available anywhere but the sport ones uk only? So the browser isn't recognized as a uk browser? Just a thought.
 
Markg Thats not a problem, it uses your ip address to see if you are uk based, so that doesn't depend on the browser being used.

They work great in 2.2 btw.
