I wonder if it's because there's something up with my device or the recovery partition is just being weird.
Host them or dropbox...let's have them files!
IDK, just pull it again and lets see what happens. Post it asap. I have been chomping at the bit to make cwm for this device. I have a little retribution to achieve.
I pulled it again and it came out with the same MD5 as the first one. I dunno what to say.
Well, I have a brick.
It seems to be a soft brick because I can access download mode, not that it does me any good. i might just return it and get another one.

Hit the IRC link in my signature man. Lets see if we can get you fixed up. We have boot and recovery images, and we can get a system image if we need. It's not time to throw in the towel, its time to throw the towel at the three headed alien in the corner! (The one wearing a cowboy boot and a pair of Converse (tm) All Stars)
Martinez, I use a great host, I don't use third party mirrors. IDK why your file would not download properly, but it's never been an issue in the past. I do hope the recovery fixes your phone...Sorry, I got caught up reading about a new NAND flash memory technology that uses microheaters to heat parcels of material to 800c in a millisecond to extend the life of the memory.
I should be the one apologizing. I'm sorry I wasted your time. The good news is that I'm finally unbricked and I owe it all to you. You sir are a life saver. As it turns out when I downloaded the file, windows had an odd way of downloading it. I had to unzip and then rename to .tar to finally flash. At the end I have a working phone again. Btw I was reading that same article not too long ago lol.
We need the recovery partitions so I can use the recovery.fstab to make the cwm recovery.
This should be everything needed for the construction of our recovery...two zip folders...have fun fellas!
Hey bro, do you have a Huawei tablet by chance? The recovery image you just linked if from Huawei hardware.
I sure hope nobody really tried to flash that.

UPDATE: HERE ARE THE APPROPRIATE FILES!

ok...I unpacked this recovery.img and its a bit strange. I don't remember who was getting a different result when pulling the partition, but I think it was mentioned. Did you do anything to this file aside from create it?

I downloaded it from above. But I got fully functional Google now without cwm...i will probably post it on YouTube!
