Help Webcam AUDIO dropout issues

Is anyone else experiencing consistent audio dropouts on the other end of video calls? When I video chat, the other folks say the audio drops in and out a lot. I am not covering the mic and I have been using Gtalk. It's not an issue on the other side as I have also tried chatting with my own home PC and got to experience it. Any ideas on why it may be?

After some more troubleshooting, I might have bought a bad webcam for the PC. When I mute it from the PC, the audio on the chat from the XOOM works just fine. It seems clear the problem is not on the XOOM side anyway ...

I am still having this issue. It was definitely not the webcam.
