Root Weird issue. cm7

So i installed cm7 ect..everything seemed to go smoothly. started up went through the process ect..all seems well except for 2 things. it looks like im in a "classic" view. like on windows xp's classic view.. the keyboard/contacts.. things like that. and it looks like my notification bar at the top seems really skinny. the signal icon/time and battery look small.

my wifi works fine.
i tested my txts, i sent one from my computer to the phone and it went through but only the 1st one. i periodicly sent a few more and none went though after the 1st one. but i can send txts From my phone.

-market works
-web works
-calls work.

i installed CM7-Ascend-05092011-signed.zip
- gapps-gb-20110307-signed.zip
- MetrOFF-v1.3-MMS-GB-Edify-CM_ASOP-No_Roaming_indicator_Off_signed.zip

anyone know what could be the problem?

Camera does Not work.

idk if i missed a step or what..
 
Do u wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache, wipe davlic cache, format system, format cache, format data?

you can also install themes to change the way your bar and other stuff looks different...[Morphs] Theme Chooser Add-ons: Lockscreens, Dialers, Boot Animations..*Cyan Updates* - xda-developers

and far as the clock its better to get a home weather widget clock...

I didnt have to do this for mine as it is an update. All I haad to do was flash the cm7 zip and gapps. Everything works fine. Would it have made any difference if I wiped?

You are correct in most cases, but some times things dont write/delete correctly and can cause issues. I always say try it and if it doesn't work just go back n wipe/format everything (except sdcard) and reflash.

This is exactly what happens to me, my friend would send my wife and I an mms from his iphone, my wife (stock metro ascend) would get the picture, me (CM7 05092011 ascend) wouldn't, but only with the iPhone, the I forward the same mms from my wife's phone to my CM7, and booom!, I get the picture..:confused:

same thing with sending from htc 4g
