Like what, as an example? We are trying to make navigation much easier which were under the impression were doing. Have you added your favorites? It's difficult to get with a site like this.. suggestions are welcome!
Hey, thanks for the open offer. I've already mentioned it once earlier but the biggest hangup for me navigation-wise is that I'd like the forums tab up in the header to go to..
http://androidforums.com/forums/
I like having a page that I can easily browse all the available forums. Currently, this is done by using the menu dropdown > browse more. There are other ways to get there but that seems the most common.
Earlier you'd mentioned that the forums tab linked to "home" would make the most sense to people but I disagree on that. I think when people click on a forums tab, they expect to see the full list of available forums. I know I do anyway.
Also, I would very much love to see the site tree at the TOP of any given page instead of at the bottom where it currently resides. For example when typing this post, directly below me right now, I see...
Home > Forums > Android Forums Community > Site Updates & Announcements
Each of the locations in that tree are of course clickable links to hyperspace around the site in a faster way. That's how I've always navigated forums, this one and elsewhere as it's a huge time saver.
In short, there are times when I'd want to use the "Home" page which is custom tuned to my liking. I predict that I'll warm up to that more as time goes along. I also think many people who stick around here will eventually use that as potentially a primary launchpad.
But new(er) users who come here, I strongly believe, will be confused by the lack of a more traditional homepage which is found at
http://androidforums.com/forums/ and it's not at ALL intuitive on how to get there. So I think a good happy medium solution to urge the use of the new "Home" launchpad while still providing a quick way back to comfort and expected results of a classic forum...is to link the "Forums" tab to go to
http://androidforums.com/forums/.
