Well I officially love the Thunderbolt Extended Battery

I'm on Synergy Rom

I didn't use Powersaver or anything. I had GPS on and everything on Auto Update as is. I did nothing to conserve battery in any way. With my original battery I would be at 50% by now.

I officially love the extended battery too. I don't get it when people complain about the Thunderbolt's battery life and act like there's no solution besides getting another phone. I also maintain that the Thunderbolt with the extended battery has better battery life than any smartphone.

Where did you end up buying your extended battery for the TB? And how much did it cost? Is it the one that has a bulge on the back? And if so, what sort of cover are you using? Thanks.

I had a Seidio slim battery, but it seemed like it didn't hold the charge the entire day for me. Then I lost it. ;-( So now I have to buy another battery.

Well...imo, the ebay batteries work just as well as OEM(I have three OEM batteries and one(I sold one and gave another away) ebay batteries and they all work the same.) from my experience.

Is one idea, I personally got this one and love it. The dock alone is worth it.

I have a dock already for the smaller sized Seidio, so I don't need that. I had lost the Innocell 1600mAh Slim Extended Life Battery. But it didn't seem to be able to keep my phone fully charged for a day either. I wasn't sure whether the bulk of the 3500mAh Extended Battery would be worth it. How are you getting around the form factor? It's not too easy to put in your pocket.

I see that a seller is from China. It also says they are not responsible for custom or duty fees. Have you ever dealt with orders from China to the US? Thanks.

I use the standard 1400/1500 mah batteries man. I bought an extended right when I got my phone, but I returned it and bought the ones off ebay. Most of the shippers on there are pretty quick and from what Ive seen good on refunds as well. Ive not had to deal with any customs or duty fees though, so Im not sure what to say on that one. The quickest Ive gotten an order from China has been five days. I DO live in Cali though and the port them come in is about a four/five hour drive from me. Makes things quicker. I can only speak for me, but they were WAY worth it for me, and if you already have the dock, just buy a couple batteries. Theyre like 5 bucks for two.

I've been using the 1700mAh from htcexpress since about April and it's been my daily battery ever since then. It gives me an extra 4-6 hours, depending on use and I don't have that horrendous, embarrassing hump in the middle of my phone

I ordered my extended battery a couple days ago. It will be here tomorrow! I'm so excited! Can't wait to have a battery that will hopefully last me all day!

Thanks! I just order my 1700 mAh x2 plus a free battery dock charger from HTC Express. Thanks for the tip! I hope it lasts longer.

I have the HTC extended battery and I truly like it. It was probably the best thing I did after getting the TBolt.

Metroidman, I'm also curious about your battery indicator. What program is that? Looks much better than the regular indicator on the taskbar.

Well, I've had my extended battery for 24 hours, plugged in and charging for the first 3 and off the charger ever since, moderate use, some movie streaming, texting and browsing, and 21 hours since being off the charger I'm still at 65% battery life! I'm amazed! Didn't think it would last this long!

I went head to head with another Thunderbolt user that has a stock battery. My bolt lasted a billion times longer, no exaggeration ! :) Love it.

I don't find the hump horrendous or embarrassing. I do tend to use the stock battery if I know I'll have plenty of opportunities to charge the phone and only switch to the extended when I'm going to be away from outlets, but it doesn't really bother me to use it. I kinda think of it as an option that's there when I need it.
