Sorry, SenseHero2.1 is a developed ROM for a rooted phone not the official update.
Someone earlier was posting about SenseHero ROM.

Whilst for the core ROM that is true, I think you a missing something fundamental and that is more and more apps are coming out for 2.x only as thus the phone is becoming more and more limited as more devs move to a 2.x + only release.
 
I'll be back to Android when someone other than HTC launch a decent handset that's supported properly. Oh, and when the quality of the market's risen some more.

I had the Hero and felt really bitter about the lack of update. I felt they were just flipping me the finger, and getting on with the newer handsets. That was back in December!

Before the regulars chime in with "they never promised any update" - I would urge you to get real. What they have done with the hero is not good, and would never buy another HTC handset again.
The Droid is nice - I may look at that if the new iPhone is not blowing my skirt up in a few months.
