I don't believe it does. I don't think he's doing this to show his kids that he's awesome. He's trying to teach them a lesson that he learned too late. He's trying to show he messed up and he's trying to make amends. I mean that's how I see it. It might sound naive to some but that's just how I feel.

One thing to have a little animated discussion about controversial topics with a friendly gibe here and there. Quite another to get personal. Let's step back over that line before one of the red boys shows up and starts handing out tickets.

The thing is that we're all adults here (or should be) and people should be able to talk frankly without worrying about telling your mommy that someone offended you.

Just saying what needed to be said. There's only one thing after probation and you wouldn't want that just because your fingers get a little ahead of your brain.
