Help what am I missing?

Incredible 2 2.3.4, I was backing up, or rather moving my apps to my SD card to prepare to root my phone. (Settings-applications- manage applications-tapped move to SD card) for each app. After the move the button that used to say move to SD card now says move to phone. I attempted to move some apps back to the phone from the SD card as a test, and was unable to do so. I get a text box saying that unable to move, not enough space available. My internal space currently says .90GB free, and I have only used less than half of my card space. Why can't I move my apps back into my phone to be able to use them? What am I missing?

After you move The app to The sd. Card they are still installed and running on your phone as you note not the whole application size does not go to you sd card.... So if you are backing them up to root you will Not be able to install them from your sd card unless you back them up using a root program

Wrong technique. You need to use an app like Astro or MyBackup to backup your apps to your SDCard.

Yeah, ES file manager and system panel (paid) are really good for this too.

I like the way system panel does this, letting you easily achieve multiple versions of the same app is great. The ui inside the app also functions fast and easy.

Thanks for the input everyone. I have been using astro, but the last time i had used it, the app was saying in backup that cloud was comming soon...long story short, I managed to get the apps running again, and now backed them up in astro. Thanks again.

Es file manager and dropbox do wonders for me, since I never use a pc and I'm not rooted... ;)
