i have an htc hero cdma running cm-6.1.0.rc1 and its wayy to slow laggy and adw launcher does nothing but force close. i want to change to an aosp rom as iv heard there faster. and have different launchers. but i dont know what one to use...

from what iv seen my interpretation is that some aosp roms are stable and some arent, and some are similar to cm6 and some are similar to the new cm7. i want something fast and relyable. but have no clue what versions are what. any suggestions and info on what there similar to?

Use .9.9.2 - It is 2.2 Lean Fast and VERY VERY stable

thank you! any clue where to get the one for the cdma hero from? and anything els i should install with it? anything that will happen or that i might lose or should know about coming from cm6.1.0 rc1? because i know nothing about the aosp rom. im just seeking quicker speed.

alright. and i dont know how to nandroid. i use clockworkmod. is that ok?

and will i need to flash the froyo mms fix? or was that only for cm 6

No need for the mms fix.

May need an hour or two;)

This is what I would do, flash the rom and gapps, set up the phone then make a nandroid. Flash over to sense rom and update prl and profile update. Send a few texts back and forth with someone then do a nandroid restore
