What are you currently reading?

I just saw this thread just now! LOL.

Currently, lets see, I have a couple of books from school (taking up med) that I really read:

Lippincott's review of Biochemistry
Guyton's Medical Physiology

And for relaxing, I'm supposed to be rereading the Wheel of Time series since the final two books are almost out, but I dropped that and just chose reading Song of Fire and Ice after I saw Game of Thrones on TV. LOL.

I know! I'm just halfway through book 1 and its also around half way through what I saw in the series. Not to mention that books 6 and 7 arent published yet. :-)

Yeah I'll spring that series. Gonna go over this thread looking for good titles. :-)

There are some REALLY awesome reads talked about in here. Please feel free to ask/talk about ANY of them... we need some life in here

So that looks awesome!! It looks like it is part of a much larger series.. have you read the other ones and if not do you think it matters reading out of order?

From what I can tell, it appears to be part of a larger series (that is, books about same character) of books but are written in a way that they stand alone very well from one another. I haven't read any of the others and have had no problem reading this one or following it (unlike a TON of other books I've read in the past).

When I finish this one I will CERTAINLY be picking up the others and reading those as well.

If you don't read something [other than forum] you'll have to buy me a new phone.

On a side note, what are you using for your e-reader?

I just finished the first of the Sookie Stackhouse series. Part vampire story (and other paranormal bits), part love story, part whodunit. Definitely a light fast read, but I was surprised to find it to be a much better and well written story than I'd expected. I'll keep on with the seriesfrom time to time.

CAtching up on my "stories"... I am reading StoryTime (AF very own online soap opera)

Mostly my Incredible since i cant ever pry the kindle from SO's grasp, lol. The e-ink screen on the kindle is off the chain. Hate needed an external light source but other than that the screen and (at least) week long battery life is well worth have a separate device to read on...

Author?
Finished it up today. Part 1 of the book was awesome, part 2 good and part 3 felt like they were running out of story but still had to tie it all together (or that the used all the good ideas at the beginning).

Hmm... still might check this out, sometimes i get to stuck on scifi/fantasy and i have to take at least a one book break every once and a while

If you ever get a chance to steal the kindle, let me know and I'll let you borrow it.

My battery ran out on my kindle the other day. That was the first time I've ever seen that screen in over a year of owning it - amazing.

I think you can, yeah. They also added a library style service for Amazon prime customers recently, I believe.

NA, the author of the Sookie Stackhouse series is Charlaine Harris.

You can lend books on the Nook, but only certain books, as controlled by B&N. NO side-loaded books can be lent.
