What are you currently reading?

^ Same here, I have four books, need to get all of them to ch. 2 by the end of the week (which isn't a lot (4*2=8), but technical reading is much more slow (especially when it's new concepts and you start to fall asleep ;))

I would really like to re-read the short story by J.D. Salinger called A Perfect Day for Bananafish

It's very cool, funny, and (of course) a bit odd.

Just finished Surface Detail by Iain m Banks, another great culture book with some very funny lines

Just started reading Genus By Jonathan Trigell

Love the Culture series but haven't got around to Surface Detail yet. I think Use of Weapons and Inversions are my favourites.

I'm currently reading the vampire novel Let The Right One In. I watched the movie a while ago, which spoils it a little bit, but its still very good, up there with Salem's Lot.

The books are ALWAYS better than the movies, imo. The only book that I felt ever adapted well to the big screen was Fight Club.

In any event, I'm halfway through reading The Affair by Lee Child. I've read all of his books now except one which is Tripwire. Next up is Stephen King's 11/22/63.

Just finished Halo: Primordium by Greg Bear.

Great author, but this was below average. I'm a fan of the Halo universe and the "surprises" in this sort of ruined the story for me. There are also other elements that don't really fit with certain established facts from other books/the games.

It was ok towards the end, but I can't say I really enjoyed the book as a whole.

Finally almost done with The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.... took long enough. Pretty good though, perhaps a little slow opening up, but I am enjoying it quite a bit.

Just finished it last night (Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), I started reading Darkness Tell Us by Richard Laymon.... It's going very fast so far.

I'll admit that I didn't plan to actually read Darkness... but I was messing around trying to figure out how the Kindle search feature works and I ended up reading the first page and it was kinda interesting.... so now I'm at about 40% or so ... :p

I'll have to try the next book in the Dragon Tattoo series next (is that Hornet's Nest or Played with Fire?)... /noob.
