Trying to get my kids to do their homework!

I used to threaten not to feed my son when he didn't want to do his homework but that only worked for a short time

I've always told my daughter its her choice but I'm not paying for summer school if she fails because of being lazy. And she knows I'm not kidding so she would be very embarrassed to be left back.

I fought with my son nightly. I gave up when I found out he wasn't turning it in even though it was done. He saw no reason to do it since he got 100's on all his tests. Sometimes it's hard to argue logic.
He must be doing it now though, can't imagine they give you a masters degree if you don't write a paper or two.

Yeah, with the night child left behind stuff, they can't leave you back and summer school is free. Her incentive is to not want to GO to summer school :/
