Root What are you favorite ROMs?

Try a more havs (more aggressive undervolting) first, if your phone seems unstable (random reboots, screen tearing, etc.), go with the less havs (less aggressive undervolting) version.

As for what I'd recommend your phone should look like, that's completely up to you! Flash a few different combinations out and see if you like them. Fortunately the majority of the mods/themes available for Myn's have screenshots so you can get an idea of what it'll look like on your phone.

Keep in mind, if you flash RLS5, you'll have to wait for the majority of the mods currently out for Myn's Warm to be updated.

Interestingly enough, I downloaded via rom manager and it wouldn't install a thing....! I ended up with a mix between MIUI and somthing else all toghether. So I wiped all the data, cache and so on and then resotred my latest backup... all is well. Once I've downloaded the Myn Rom via link provided, do I need to wipe again? What about all the other cool features? Do I simply go into recovery again and flash from there? Thanks for all the Help Frenchy

I don't use ROM Manager personally I do everything manually and use Amon RA. Before flashing any ROM I wipe data/cache/dalvik-cache, so yes, do a wipe again. Yes, most of the mods you flash in recovery like you would a kernel. Do you have an Evo with a newer hboot version/radio's, etc.?
 
Thanks.*hits button* Will give it a shot. I been thru a zillion ROMs like yourself and kept making my way back to Fresh or Baked. I was missing texts, force closes and etc on some of ther newer roms including 3.5 Fresh. Tried Myn when it first came out and felt like it was somewhat like Cynogen.However never tried it with different kernels and etc. I remember liking the black dialer and discovering new features by accident.

For the record for those wondering why you cant download from rom manager..The MYN rom was in the Rom manager at one point, and for some reason now when you download only the add ons download. I thought I was doing something wrong but apparently not. Almost seems like when some of the ROMs are hot the developers pull them?*shrugs*
 
I've tried 2 and that's Myn and Cyanogen. Did not like CM as it was missing way too much stuff that I grew accustomed to having. Especially syncing my contacts with facebook. Sprint Navigation and a lot of other things. I feel Myn gives me the best overall experience so far and love the black dialer and the Myn themed Swype.

I may try Fresh one day as I see a lot about it, too.

I first tried zone23's christmas red rom and liked it okay but I wanted something different. I've been using miui for 3-4 days now and after flashing a stable kernel, I love it.

I'm not sure when I'll try another rom but I feel like I almost have to try myn and cyanogen at some point.

Already flashed a new ROM... myn's this time.

With the MIUI I all of a sudden started getting fc's and screen freezing, probably user (me!) error. I tried a couple different kernels, wiping, and re-flashing but nothing seem to help (again most likely my error, not the ROM's). Out of frustration I flashed myn's on 1/2/11. So far it's been smooth, stable and fast. This time, for real, no new ROM for a while.

Same here man. I rooted on Christmas day. And this forum and XDA was a huge help if I ran into problems. These forums are lifesavers for noobs.

Myn is my rom for now. And a new release will be out soon.

Out of curiosity, are you having camera issues? I flashed myns and no problem. I then flashed the same kernel you have in your sig and my camera is a no go. Can't clear data or anything. Any thoughts?

You can't download half the ROM's available through ROM Manager, which is one of the reasons I stopped using it. When I first flashed Myn's it was from ROM Manager. Is it not fully available through RM now?
 
Thanks for all your help Frenchy714, I'm enjoying Myn's Rom.... I did wonder though, seeing that I'm on the 12/25 nightly build and not the 12/24 build would hulu still work for me.... I'm going to do some research on this too; however when I tried to flash this via RA recovery manually it aborted the process.... maybe I did something wrong...
