What are your favorite Apps?

So, what are your favourite Apps? They don't have to be Note specific.

The top App on my list is unfortunately no longer available, but for me it is indispensable. It is called AlarmPad and allows for proper alarms, not just reminders, to be created just by putting a hashtay in a calendar entry. Thankfully it transfered over with Smartswitch and is working, but I could do with finding an alternative.

The second on my list is a calculator called MobiCalc.

I like this one because it allows for time calculations to be done very easily, which is a great help when working out my hours.

The third on my list is another calculator app called My Script, and allows you to hand write calculations, which it then works out for you. I first had a hand writing calculator on my old Nokia N 97

I have the orignal version, but it looks like only the V2 paid version is available now.

Waze......I use it everyday. It alerts me when there is traffic or when the police is around.

Youtube.....I can't stop watching it on my beautiful screen. I usually watch it on breaks.

And it's a tie with Hearthstone and Boom Beach for games.

Backgammon online. Google maps, gmail, Amazon, etc), My calendar (for appts), my banking apps, BoA, Merrill Lynch, Chase (credit cards) and Ames (credit cards) ...

I sometimes use weather.com app,

For this question, I will say RocketDial. I've been loving this app for some years now as my contact and phone manager. It has great customization for font sizes and colors. (I am just a humble user of it; not a developer.)

Thanks.

For Steven58, does this Backgammon app let you play with known friends, or with random people around the world, and/or with the phone?

What's not to like as long as its on a display as a note. The plus is a plus with any app. NOVA launcher makes it mine.

PowerAmp. Life without music is SAD...

Now you speak my language, and by and large the most powerful and versatile player to date. Poweramp.

Speaking of apps, does any experts here, and I assume many, today get an update on the OUTLOOK email app specifying dark mode?
I ask because it flashes black when opening and is white when open. The update says its slowly rolling out.
Maybe it's a partial update.
Does yours flash black or stay dark?

You might have it by now, but mine was doing the same thing and finally the dark mode toggle was there yesterday under preferences.

I like YouTube, Instagram (just not at the moment as the recent update broke it), starting to like Blaze, Bitcoin ticker widget, Google photos, Notepad free, AVG Antivirus free, Equalizer Pro, Leafly, Sketch photo, Tor browser, PlutoTv, etc.etc...just too many to name...but you get the idea...

One of my favorites is CCSWE App Manager. You can disable just about any app you want. I had a Samsung app that would constantly restart and would use 30% of my battery power daily. I disabled that and several others that were giving me problems easily. Battery lasts much longer now. If you get it make sure to get it's companion app for it to operate properly.

I'm a book reader so for me Calibre Companion is a must have. It syncs beautifully with the main Calibre app on my computer so I can choose a new book from my library anywhere! And since the demise of Gentle Alarm my new and oh, so powerful alarm app is now Amdroid. You absolutely have to check that out!

I left out one very important app in my first reply above and that is Google Opinion Rewards. It obviously tracks my movements as it states that in the settings. I get anywhere from 10 cents to 1 dollar for my answers. This windfall is in the form of google play credit so I haven't actually paid for anything in Google Play in years but I do have tons of paid games, apps, movies and books. So far since I first signed up I have been awarded a total of $431.60. I don't know when I signed up but the app shows my first survey in June, 2017. I currently have $89.53 in my account to spend.
So check it out if you want paid apps without denting your wallet.

Nova Launcher, definitly up on top for me.

Tasker for some automated tasks such as turning on the torch or sounding where my phone is from my Prble watch. as well as switching the phone to silent when connected to the office Wifi using the Glance app.

Plex for casting my library to Chromecast devices or watching directly on the phone (also have a freview TV antenna for live TV).

Also I make great use of the Your Phone Windows app integration, mostly for copy past sharing between phone and PC but handy to use a full keyboard for long messaging conversations.

Todolist - use it often in busy days when i can't keep everything in my head. Duolingo - started to learn Spanish 3 years ago, try to spend at least 15-20 minutes a day learning. Android spy apps - need those to track my children's phones. Youtube - often check for some recipes or just to listen music. Instagram - 100% bathroom thing :D. Imou life - to check security cameras at home.
Here are some more which i use pretty often: gmail, currency convertor, pinterest, uber, uber eats, QR code, google maps
You know that the native camera app recognises QR codes automatically? Very handy. I also generally just use google search for currency conversion e.g. 130usd as uk pounds. It will do most unit conversions in that format: celcius as fahrenheit, inches as feet, pounds/stone as kilos.
It doesn't do The Register's own units of measurement yet though where 1 mile is 11495.5742 linguine and 1 US ton is 104.2757 adult badgers or 1.0189 great white sharks: (https://www.theregister.com/Design/page/reg-standards-converter.html)
