Root What bugless roms are yall using?

I'm really liking Cyanogen 6.1 right now. I ran MIUI for 2 weeks without a problem, but then issues started cropping up.

I've had the best luck with Virtuous 3.1 and Redemptive Senseless rEVOlution. Both have been really stable and trim out the bloat. Currently running the Senseless version of rEVOlution since I use LauncherPro, having Sense on it was redundant for me. If you have to have Sense, you may want to try Lou's other ROMs.

Just flashing RR Sense-less right now, im a huge fan of LauncherPro and it seems like this might be a good fit.

Thanks all, keep suggestions coming!

That one's working best for me as far as performance/battery-life balance goes. I also went back to running Lou's #4 Kernel (same guy that made RR Senseless ROM). From my experience, only Chad's 12-08 kernel had better battery life, but Lou's is way more stable on my phone (as in no random reboots yet and rare fc's from individual apps that gave me problems on every ROM) and difference in battery life is minimal. YMMV

Virtuous has been my fall-back ROM in the past, but I think it's about to pass the torch.

EDIT: On a side note. I also removed setCPU w/ Lou's and Chad's kernels and have much better battery life. The perflock disabler in SetCPU overrides the default scaling settings, and I haven't been able to find a better set up than what the kernels do on their own. Especially with their earlier Kernels (late November releases), the battery life was great with screen off, but at the worst it used roughly 1% used every 2 minutes of screen on when using setCPU and a 3500ma battery.

I just rooted. Have yet to flash a ROM. I LOVE Launcher Pro Plus. I want better battery. I am a BIGTIME NOOB. What would be the best 1st ROM to flash for ME?

(Does it matter how you rooted? I used Unrevoked3)

Launcher Pro Plus is the paid version of Launcher Pro that allows you to resize widgets and adds HTC Sense-like widgets

I flashed SkyRaider Vanilla and I like it so far.

When I restored my app from titanium, I had to allow all the permissions..... took forever. Is that normal?

Lou's Senseless rEVOlution 1.0; Lou's #4 Kernel, Seidio 3500ma battery, with an hour or so of Angry Birds and other nonsense, still at 70% after 28 hours uptime:

So far no FC's or any other stability issues. I think I found a keeper until there's more stable Gingerbread offerings out there.

Tried Lou's #4 last week and through the weekend but I didn't see the great battery life others have seen with this kernel. Wiped delvik and battery stats as recommended but no joy. Stock kernel that comes with Warm works better for me. Maybe my phone is weird.

Try IncROM V1.0.. It's on Rom Manager now..

Very stable

+1 Been running this for a few days and I am very happy with it! My only gripe (and its not even a gripe cause it is just my taste) is that it is a very colorful ROM.

I normally like senseless or vanilla ROM's as my tastes are very minimalistic, but really liking the IncROM!

Well, it's the holidays and I'm bored at work so I think I'm gonna try some ROM flashing. Just a few quick questions before I take the plunge:

1. Someone recommended [KERNEL] 2.6.32.26-incredikernel-12/13/2010-2(if you downloaded 12/13 please update!) - xda-developers for a great battery saving kernel. Can I use this with the latest Virtuous ROM or do I need a special kernel?
2. Due to being at work and I'd like it to be easy...can I use a ROM manager from the market to grab a new kernel and ROM?
3. If I hate everything can I use my Nandroid Backup to restore my old ROM and Kernel or just the ROM?

Thanks!!!

It was a zip for the normal task bar, green power widget and super circle battery. Let me see if I can find it for you..found it here you go. I'm sure you're well aware and will do this regardless but backup before flashing :)

Normal Taskbar-Green Widget-Super Circle.zip

This is a link to the thread I found the zip in over at xda

Ya know, I saw that page on XDA and cause it was green (probably blue when plugged in?) I thought it was something else.

Thanks for your help!!

Nevermind, I just went ahead and created a new Nandroid backup, wiped my cache and did a factory reset. Downloaded ROM Manager Free from market, now downloading Virtuous ROM and gonna see what happens!!

2 Days on RR-Senseless, and im already bored :(

It seems really stable, and has a different Dialer i think, but other than that its pretty cookie-cutter.

I loved Business Sense, because it was all trimmed down, and then themed real nice.

Guess ill try another one tonight or tomorrow.

I've been on Redemption for about a week now, and I love it. Pretty snappy, and after adding Viva! Azul blue theme, it's pretty freakin' sharp. No bugs or anything either. Here's a screencap of what it looks like now... (wallpaper made by yours truly :) )
