What cases is everyone using?

GalaxyNexus

I just got a new screen protector for my Nexus (Zagg Invisashield) and I found that my VZW branded case doesn't work with it. So, what cases are all you guys using?

A screen protector that won't work with a CASE?

Isn't the screen protector the exact dimensions of the screen? I don't understand...

Anyway, no case here. Just an XO Skin screen protector and a Verizon-branded extra-large horizontal holster for my belt :)

Based on my experience, the case will cause the screen protector to bunch up. Perhaps that is what OP is referring to?

I use the invisible shield, and to maintain the adhesion around the edges, I always stuck to a silicone case. My favorite is the Seidio Active line, a good compromise that gives more protection than a standard silicone case, but has a hard exo-skeleton for drop protection.

Never heard of it. I've used screen protectors since my LG Dare days and never had one "bunch up". It adheres beautifully to the screen with no overlap to bunch.

I guess I'm the lucky one or something :)

Some of the hard cases where it overlaps the front will dig in to the soft screen protectors like the zagg and cause it to bunch. I had one with my Dinc do that. Very annoying.

i picked up an otterbox defender.. it adds some bulk but i don't worry about anything lol. also otterbox is really good about replacing anything that breaks on their cases (i broke mine and it was completely my fault) in fact if you buy it at the sprint store they will replace it for you at the sprint store as long as you have your receipt and it's been less than a year

Cruzer lite

Cruzerlite Androidified here as well. The case fits so tight and cleanly it feels as if the phone is naked and yet provides more grip than the phone on it's own.

The Cruzerlite case also has a ridge around the screen which keeps it off of any hard surface when laid face down.

It is not as much protection as an Otterbox or Seidio Active, but it is much lighter as well. Now I'm looking for a belt clip that works with this case.

Case? ya, I don't use a case. That's like telling a playboy playmate to put her clothes back on.

Yeah, until that playmate breaks her leg jumping off the roof from one of her many cocaine filled evenings. I kept my Droid X naked for a long time, and dropped it quite a few times as well. But, to my dismay, I dropped it just right to get a cracked digitizer. I now choose to use a case.

OP, are you using an extended battery, or plan on buying one? That will significantly decrease the number of available cases for you. I'm on Verizon and picked up the 2100 mAh extended battery. I searched for ages for a sleek case that accommodated the battery. I found the Diztronic Rev 3 to be perfect! It's slim, looks great, and even adds more grip. Which, by the way, the naked Nexus has horrible grip. Thus another reason to buy a case! Happy shopping! :wavey:

I am not currently using a case either, mainly because the phone is such a nice phone ergonomically, I hate to ruin that. Also I have been running pretty frequently, and would have to take it out of the case to put it in my armband. I also had plans to buy the auto-dock w/ pogo pins, but I don't think that is going to happen now :p

I got a stiff rubberized case from China or Hong Kong for 99 cents delivered on eBay. I just ordered a soft rubberized one from the same place for $2.54. It is some now where in the Pacific Ocean on a slow boat from China.

ya but it'd be worth it.

I did drop my Eris 2 times in my 2+ years with it....and I am thankful I had a case on it then but I was a lot less careful with that thing. I'd toss it in the air behind my back and catch it. I've been super careful with my sexy nexy but of course some day it will slip and if it breaks, I'll drop the insurance cash down for another...but I understand not everyone is willing to risk it. That's the beauty of all things droid, there is a phone out there for everyone.

by the way, when I was thinking of getting a case, the diztronic was top of my list.
