Yea I downloaded it for 2.1 but couldn't get the pinch to peek to work that really blows man, I also thought that the camera menu was going to change. I hope there just going to put them in the official update *crosses fingers*

The "official" release comes on the 3rd but you no-lifers download the version that comes with a warning, it screws up your phone and then you complain. Hmmmm

The 3D Gallery in the app market is not the same thing as the Android 2.2 3D Gallery. It's a knock off. No pinch peek.

Does anyone know if you can turn off HTC Sense with froyo? I remember it was available until they added the new update a few weeks ago.

I have full flash and am watching an episode of my fav, Babylon 5, while writing this.
Most apps - smoother, better.
Radio looks a little better.
Basically, the only problem I'm seeing is that the Market (app) isn't showing all of my existing downloads.
AS FOR PINCH-TO-ZOOM -
This is a Release Candidate - but that means that maybe this WILL be the official update next week - or maybe it won't.
But in general, this is kinda in the neighborhood of it.
The 3d Photo Gallery is not here - yet.
Recalling that we just got a major camera upgrade and the gallery and camera apps do have some coupling....
... personally, I'm way OK that if their plan is put out incremental updates with each feature working rather than wait for the Mega-Update.
So - we have H.264 in SD - w00t!
Have to wait for it for 720p, along with other optimizations.
BTW - a note on bit rates for H.264 video: kindly check that H.264 digital copy of any Blu-rays you have. My Star Trek (latest) - yeah, that's 850x350 (original aspect ratio) - H264 and it's only 3 Mbps. Remember - - there are profiles within H.264, and we'll need a few days to tinker to decide if this was the rush job others are claiming - or if this is really our first step into a larger world.
My bias is obvious on that last part.
Otherwise, I'm not finding anything terribly wrong.
Did I mention that the brave and patient among us now have 2.2 + H.264 SD video in July?

PS - My wifi tether (3G) isn't working, but I expected that, and expect I'll be updating that shortly.
PPS - Yeah - the bundleware's back - that's gotta go.
PSPS - YouTube working, but since we know that's hit or miss...

Some things didn't work for a couple of hours on mine either... strange. When the camera did start working I noticed the quality is MUCH better. No grainy bs, and it loads the highres pics more often depending on what you are doing.

Well before it looked like someone went into every picture and selected anything dark or with large consistent color areas and added film grain to it. Now it seems like it is gone.
The focus also seems a bit faster and precise. You can also 'drag' to the next picture even if you are zoomed in now. Before if you were even slightly zoomed in and you tried to drag or swipe to the next image it would just hit the edge and bounce back on the same picture.

Was there something you needed from in there?
There are apps that can hit a few of those functions, that's why I ask.
