The Sandisk class 2 is plenty fast for anything the droid x can do. It's about the same speed as the generic class 4.

I have a 2 and I ordered from wirefly.com. So what if anything is different with the two? Is 4 better? I don't know maybe a dumb question. I was looking into getting a 32 g anyhow should I be looking for numbers on them also??
I'm not necessarily sure how true that statement about the 2 being sufficient is. Recording 720p and 8MP photos isn't some tiny task and the read-write speeds should really be noticeable when doing that. Also, I would imagine if you stick a larger movie file onto your phone (ie, a 1.3GB 50 minute show), it will have a very high bitrate and accessing it quickly will be partially dependent on the read speed.
I believe I have a class 2 card and I fully intend to cause a ruckus until I am given a class 4.
EDIT: I just took time to actually look at your link. That is some compelling info... maybe I don't need to make a ruckus after all.
My brother and I both received DXs ordered at the same time. I believe he got a class 4 and I got a class 2. If this turns out to be the case I will run the tests you suggested and post the results.
My X came with a class 4.
