What do you do for a living?

I am a Test Engineer for a small company that manufactures, repairs, installs and tests environmental catalysts for industrial applications. When I am not testing, I am heading up the R&D division. In a nutshell, I test very large catalytic converters and make cool things.

If you can not guess by my name, I am a Tool and Die jouneyman at G.M. And work in the prototype - model shop. Get to see all the new and crazy stuff.

Quite nostalgic, JPW.

I never owned a machine shop, but worked in a few as a kid many moons ago.

No CNC, but a few "chuckers," we called them; just template controlled turret lathes.

I loved a big old Warner and Swasey 18" swing turret lathe called "Old Satan." When I got assigned to that machine from time to time I was happy. Nobody else liked it. Quite the chip thrower, it was. ;)

Due to the current screen width on my phone, I thought you were a tool for a second.

I am a through-hole operator at an EMS. I make electronics the old-fashioned way... wire-lead components and a cascade of molten solder. SMT is for sissies who make phones all day.

I also volunteer at a state park, and use my Eris for geotagged photography, as well as GPS mapping of trails. Google Latitude is also good for knowing where the park manager is, and he's got an Eris too.

Sorry about the tool joke, but it looked funny at the time.

I'm a Chemical Operator for a specialty chemical plant. I am also a full-time dad of 2 beautiful girls, ages 5 and 20 months.

Screenwriter. Filmmaker. Determined to nuke Hollywood and forge a new beginning free from studio interference, remake-itis and lowest common denominator placation.

You have been warned.

:D

Garbage Collector.....

Web access on my Eris helps me get photos from jail when I need to prove that some of the garbage lies about their name....

Lmao blue! I work with ppl like this. Too funny

I am a ups driver and also currently a junior in college part time finishing my bahelors in fimancing. Eris eliminates any need for maps for my driving job.

We lived in Prattville, near Montgomery. He bought his suits at a store named "Gents" in the mall in Prattville, and my dad owned a bookstore there. Coach was a friend of our family, so when he would come to town to buy a new suit he would stop by and have dinner with us. I was around 6 or 7, and I remember sneaking out of my room, out the window, then coming into the pantry from the outside so I could peek in. As I said, I would have been a legacy student at 'Bama had I chosen to go. Sometimes I regret the decision.
Small World!
My grandfather drove a horse and buggy to deliver mail around Prattville.
I grew up there.

ISO certified vibration analyst. There are enough sensors and processors built into the Eris to do basic vibration analysis. Just need someone to create the app.
