What do you do for a living?

IT/Telephony. I use my phone alot at work writing down IP's, ports, and phone port numbers. Needless to say my phone is plugged in alot. lol

Sophomore at an east coast school, studying architecture and graphic design.

So I'm a complete n00b when it comes to anything technological.

<---- Still a cableguy :D

Hey.. a bro.

I did that for a while.. back when color coded traps were used to filter out HBO, Showtime, etc. One of only four pole climbers (still have my gaffs) in a company of 78 installers, inspectors and dispatchers.

Had a great time.

I don't think those traps are used much anywhere now, are they?

Wow. That goes back a ways. I started about 12 years ago in the business. But i did get to see one nearby system that still used them. When they upgraded to all digital we all got sent there to help remove all that junk(that you put in:p).

That's odd. Everyone has to climb around here. But i am 1 of a few that crawls:cool:. Still have your crawl suit?

Well, the state I lived in back then did not require basements, just a 16" crawl space beneath the ground floor.. so, we did mingle with the spiders, lizards, frogs and occasional weed smoking teenager "hiding" there. I found that scenario much simpler and quicker to handle than stringing coax from poles.

The were just converting to underground lines strung from pedestals in the six years I worked there. We loved that.. just running it into the home and splitters galore. ;)
