What do your X Screens look like?

How do you make or use a custom dock with launcher pro? The is one thing I can not figure out and I would love to do! Thanks in advance

No clue how to make one, but if you have one you found and you have it saved to your SD card, click the menu button, preferences, appearance, dock background, custom, find.the one you want, and you're done.

i just made my first one (posted earlier). i just downloaded a custom dock someone had already made, opened it up in photoshop...or paint.net (it's free) and used it as a template to make whatever you want. I only used one that was already made to get the right size for the dock. same goes with icons too

Sorry, that's Smooth Calendar, which picks up my work (Exchange) calendar and Google's (gmail). I looked at a lot of calendars before I found one that worked with Exchange and I liked. The date is optional. It has a lot of features, like how far out you want it to display (I use 30 days).

Sweet, thank you colchiro. I'll check that one out!

Are there any alternatives to doing screenshots? I followed all the instructions at How To : Droid X Screenshots

and when I try to open ddms.bat (running as administrator) it pops open a DOS window for a split second, then closes. That's it.

I'm winning Win7 64bit if that makes any difference.

thats because you haven't copied your java bin directory to you system path

click on my computer.
then c drive(or what ever your hard drive is)
go to program files(x86)
then jre6
then bin

now click on the address bar at the top and copy that address.

Now right click on my computer
on the left side of the screen there should be a link to adv. system properties click that
on the bottom of the window that opens you will see Environment Variables click that
in the top box you will see a list of items select path and then select edit
scroll to the end of the dialog box and type an ; if there isn't one already
now paste the address for your java bin directory there and save by clicking ok to close all the windows.

Now you should be good to go.

Win7 64 bit makes no difference, that's what I'm running.

Sounds like a driver issue OR you don't have your phone is "PC Mode". I had to use the Motorola drivers to get root. You can drag your status bar down from the top to change the USB Connection type. To use the SDK (root or screen shots) you need PC Mode.

ddms.bat will do the quick close if I run w/o "run as administrator", so yes, you need to do that with Vista or Win7.

Appreciate the help folks. Thank you. Did everything you suggested, paths, pc mode (which it was in already), had the drivers. DOS window is still instantly closing. Gonna give up for tonight and try to figure this out tomorrow after work.

The help is very much appreciated. Thank you.

I see it was mentioned to check your path for the bin directory, but did you also check to see that the path variable contained the "android\tools" directory?

Finally got it figured out....

The little androids are my app organizer labels. I don't have anything else new or special that hasn't already been brought up here so I don't think I need to do a break down. Especially since most things I have are influenced from this thread haha

Air,

Thanks for the tip on using the left swipe to disable interactions. I was using it for a camera but this is more useful.

Rad

I got my lock screen the way I want it now. The weather and audio adjustments are disabled until I swipe left on the lock to enable them.

May I ask what settings under LauncherPro Plus you applied to get you dock to look like this. I have tried about everything and can't come up with anything like that.

I like that Pure Messenger so I grabbed that today from the market. I'll give it a try for a while.

In one of my earlier posts I posted a link to a "docks.zip" the sense dock is in that file along with a blank icon (you'll have to search around in it, there are over 250 docks). You apply the sense dock in Launcher Pro and when you set your shortcuts on the dock, you use the blank icon. voila!

I asked this once before and never got the answer.. does anyone know where I can get this lock wallpaper?

Also, where is the setting so you can lock those lock screen apps unless you left swipe?

The wallpaper can be found in the Flikie Wallpaper HD app, just scroll through and save the ones you like.

When you are setting up WidgetLocker long press on the screen, select widgets, then custom slider. You can then select what you want each side or middle of the slider does and there are quit a few options.

Edit: Here is the lock screen wallpaper, I've had a few people ask for it.

Anyway...again,

You guys tried to cook him alive down there!!!

Besides, there were only 2 bad pitches that cost him the game. Not too bad, just couldn't get the key hit. Three more to go.
