Root What does FlyX do?

I'm a total newb at ROM's and from what I understand they are modified versions of Android. I'm curious about what FlyX will do for me and if the process is simple enough.

it just optimizes 2.2. it gets rid of the bloat, deodexes, etc.
it is pretty darn simple, but i personally didnt see much benefit. but, that's just me.
