What does Titanium Backup "create update.zip" does?

Does it mean it creates restoration system image like one which can be made with Ghost or Acronis on PC's just for Android to be installed through recovery?

I hope someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that it only creates a zipped version of the current version of the Titanium Backup program on your sd card. The zipped file that is created is the Titanium Backup program only with no apps or data. In the event of a problem you can use file manager to unzip and intall Titanium Backup. Then you can restore from your app and data backups. I hope that helps.

Ty .....that was what i was looking for a simple answer...
 
The update zip contains all your apps and data from what I remember.

Its a flashable version of your information
 
The update.zip is a flashable version of the app. You can make it a system or user version.

This allows you to flash the zip in recovery along with your rom, kernel etc after doing a full wipe making TiB instantly available on first boot.

This way you can restore all your apps and data without having to go through all of the setup procedure and re-installing TiB through the market.

A really handy part of the app imho.

Nah bro it's just the tibu apk. Really handy, it saves you from searching play with a keyboard you hate :)
There is an app that let's you make flashable zips but it wasn't very reliable for me. Think it's called "zipit"

Gotcha. Ive always just kept the titanium apk in a folder and installed it via a file explorer. It automatically detects the pro key.
 
There are two options in TiBu. If you select "create update zip" from the menu, it creates a flashable version of just the titanium backup app.

If you choose "create update zip from app+data backups" from the batch actions menu/list, you can create a flashable zip of whichever apps you want.
