That would be a modified version of android.

There are custom roms that are based off of android 4.0, 4.1, 4.2

But to be able to do this, you'll need to be rooted.

Just a customized version of android examples: removed bloatware apps, added apps, usually skinned, overclocking etc but its still android.

Mine did that too, deleted user data in CWM, it's back to working.
