A battery saver ONLY works on slow CPUs , On a bigger/faster phone like the LG Motion , you wont get any big difference or worse , 2x battery runs in the background and wastes more battery than it saves , it can close apps but they just restart and use more battery doing that! Android doesnt need battery savers/task killers , it does that by itself
Now , Another story is a Admire or so like a 800 MHz or 1 GHz phone , Single Core , I had a Samsung admire , 1600 MAH battery , 3G , 800 MHz , 3.2 MP Camera , ETC
Battery could last me like 8 hours on games , etc ..... Without a battery saver
Then I used Go Power Saver EX / Juice Defender with some strict settings with 3G on always and full brightness and some special settings , no closing apps , some settings got me huge improvements and I could actually last my phone for over 1 weeks with those settings , LG Connect has a 1640/1650 MAH battery I think and when I had it , I used juice defender , 4G , Internet , Rhapsody , Gaming would only give me 3 hours without JD , then with JD I got about 4 and a half hours , before I need to connect again ,
Samsung Admire
3G On , No GPS , No Bluetooth , Gaming , No JD - 8 Hours or so
3G on , No GPS , NO Bluetooth , Tons of games , Yes JD , - Over a week
LG Connect (JD messed up wifi until I factory reset!)
4G on , Sometimes wifi , No GPS , No BT , Yes Games , No JD - 3 Hours
4G on , Sometimes wifi , No GPS , No BT , Yes Games , Yes JD - 4 1/2 hours
LG Motion
4G on , Sometimes Wifi , No GPS , No BT , Games ( GTA 3) No JD - 1 Day
4G on , Sometimes wifi , No GPS , NO BT , Games , Yes JD - 1 day and about 8 hours
I got slight improvement , It seems in depends on
Speed , Battery MAH , and also S3 (LG Connect) VS S4 (LG Motion) which is faster and more energy efficient
So It might help but not alot , In my test it helps more on a slow phone
Now Listen here
LIIIISTEN HERE MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you ROOT your phone , THEN! you can use Set CPU , Or No Frills CPU Control
And lower your CPU to 800 MHz and you get NO LAG still and put the govenor on "ondemand" then you will get more battery and NO LAG and no difference in speed , then use your battery saver and look at the results
LG Motion at 600 MHz , Yes 4G , Sometimes Wifi , No Bluetooth , No GPS , Full Brightness , No JD - 3 Days
LG Motion at 600 MHz , Yes 4G , Sometimes Wifi , No Bluetooth , No GPS , YES JD - About a week
LG Motion at 800 MHz , Yes 4g , Sometimes Wifi , No Bluetooth , No GPS , No JD - 2 3/4 days
LG Motion at 800 MHz , Yes 4G , Sometimes wifi , A bit of bluetooth , some GPS , YES JD - 2 Days
LG Motion at 1 GHz , 4G , No Wifi , No Bluetooth , No GPS , No JD - 1 1/3 day
LG motion at 1 GHz , 4G , No Wifi , No BT , No GPS , YES JD - 1 Day and like 11 hours
Tell me if your want more tests , Here are some random tests
GTA 3 Playing , 4G on , Bluetooth on , My Phone is a 1.5 Dual Core Version (LG made a bad batch) GPS On , Just to test battery wasters , played for 1 day and 2 days , So I Got better battery life with the GPS and stuff , weird!
LG motion is the best phone I have owned , I dont regret it now , but THEY SHOULD HAVE PUT A 3.7 INCH SCREEN! ITS THE FREKIN SWEET SPOT XD
Need any more tests , Screenshots (How to upload them?) Or anything else , Tell me and I am here to serve
