What is going on?!

When I decided to switch to Verizon from AT&T my plan was to buy a Razor. Mainly because of the hype and first looks all praised the Razor. All I had to do was hold the Razor to know this was not the phone for me. I personally just found the phone very uncomfortable to hold.

I decided to wait a few weeks to read more reviews and user comments. The Rezound started to sound interesting, the only negative I read was about it being a little thicker. I decided to head over to Verizon to check out the phone. I found really liked the feel and weight. Lighter than my 3gs. That with the Amazon .01 sale made my decision pretty easy. We now have 3 Rezounds in our family. Every day I am learning more about the phone and really find it fun to use.

I don't think the Razor is a bad phone, just not the right fit for me. Verizon pretty much setup the Razor as their flagship Android phone (Until the Nexus is released). So I would guess this makes them push it a little more. I think belatedly they realized they have a winner in the Rezound and that is why you see quite few commercials right now for both phones.

went into best buy today and got my rezound!!!!! im so excited i love this phone already. im so glad i didnt get the razr. :)

I went in today(yesterday now since it is past midnight) to get a Rezound and am starting to think about returning it for a Razr. I have been having major 3G data issues.

To shed some light on why stores seem to push the razr.....Verizon is offering a spiff on the phone right now so anybody making commission gets a little extra $$ for every razr they sell

I don't know why it's never mentioned, but voice and data over 3G is a huge advantage for the HTC. Razr can't touch that. neither can the Galaxy Nexus. Also, display-wise, the HTC is tops in their phone lineup. It has the highest dpi of any phone. Beats the iPhone, the Nexus and crushes the Razr.

Glued in battery for a flagship device? That makes no sense (haha) to me. Too many advantages that aren't mentioned.

I'd agree with that- HTC really seems to be pulling all the pieces together *except* the marketing... The "headline" feature on this thing is an audio system which only works as advertised for their stock music player, on headphones? But not for the internet radio apps that dominate the niche? Or bluetooth? Seriously?? WTF!!

Meanwhile it's got a screen that beats, or at least matches, the best SAMOLED's on the market, with the added bonus you can see it in daylight?

I could start sketching out about 6 commercials for this thing off the top of my head that would tear the stink out of their marketing to date... And I'm not ever a Marketing guy... Jeez. Their pro's are asleep at the switch on this one.

The Beats audio (red/round icon on screen) feature is not just for headphones, but also works on my Nordictrack elliptical equipment.

are you kidding? wow. my store was never told this; we're indirect, but we get spiffs that corporate stores get. that's bullshit.

I'll give reasons why VZ pushes out the Iphone and the Razr.

Three ways the Iphone benefits VZ. Keep customers that wanted a Iphone but didn't want ATT crappy sevice, bring customers back that left for the Iphone on ATT, and finally to take away ATT long time customers that have a Iphone but are tired of their sevice.

Now the Droid Razr.

Point blank I'ts a Droid branded phone that combines two Iconic names and one of the best android devices on the market. Show anyone a Droid branded phone and they instantly link it to VZ! Cha Ching!

To say that the Razr is a bad phone and never owned one is being bias. I've played with the Rezound and it is a awesome phone just not my type. My wife has an Dinc so as soon as a better deal comes out 4 the Rezound I will upgrade her line.

Coming from a DX the Razr is a natural pick 4 me. Its a little bigger but I really don't see the difference. The Screen while not as crisp as the Rezound has deeper blacks and colors pop out off the screen. Yes it's PenTile but can hardly see it not bad at all it's light years ahead of my DX. Give me the Rezound Res and the Razr color and the ability to see in direct sunlight and I'm set.

Razr or Rezound? Can't go wrong with either but to say that VZ is not selling the Razr and are overstocked because of that is just crazy. Maybe because of the reasons I stated above is why VZ probably stock Iphones and Razrs 5 to 1 against the Rezound not because both are bad phones.

no, you don't understand.

again, i'm telling you verizon puts in their system that employees couldn't activate these for a month after launch because of the "demand" like the 4s.

the demand for the 4s still exists, and has since day 1. the razr demand didn't. i was never low on razrs, i nevre ran out of razrs, and neither did any store within 3 towns from me. everybody is overstocked and they aren't selling like hotcakes.

How have the Rezounds sales been going? On plan? Above?

Just curious. I'm hoping we'll see a selection of decent cases for the "big back" version of the rezound (whether extended battery or inductive charger)

No idea general context but i know that I'm selling an assload of them. It's nice to have to keep telling my boss to order more lol people are loving it and not one person has come back with a problem
