Root What is the difference between 2.2.1 and 2.2.2?

You can root with gingerbreak.
2.2.2 had a security update to make root harder but I used gingerbreak to root both an optimus and an admire also an m835

gingerbreak doesnt seem to work for me and i just updated to 2.2.2 . I guess i could keep trying but i dont see any hope lol

OK so what is the difference between the 2.2.1 and 2.2.2 besides rooting issues? was the update done specifically to prevent people rooting? or was it a system upgrade that actually helped our phones work better? was it done for the continuous rebooting phones problem? and if you dont have the rebooting issue would it be worth upgrading to 2.2.2?

I think it was a kernel update to stop the rebooting issue for some phones. The way I see it is don't fix it if it ain't broke.
