Help What is up with the texting?

I've gotten this error only a couple times, but I have noticed that sometimes texts are delayed especially when I'm involved with an iphone group text, either I wait a fee hours and a flood of texts come in or I restart the phone and they come in again.

It does seem worse on the sense 4 rom I've been using though.

Maybe there is hope after all. Guess I'll have to try to get a hardware replacement. There are people on here who have had 3 bad ones in a row, lol wow I guess some people just get extremely unlucky

It might be a location thing, I talked two of my friends into getting this phone & non of us have seen any errors or delayed texts in S. FL.........

The strange thing is I don't have any issues in my area with any other phones that ive tried for VM, just this one. I guess maybe there are a ton of bad phones going out out there or bad activations or something like that

That sux! I would Deff return it. I could not live with issues like that....

Another possibility for me not experiencing the issue since week 1 might be because I use Juice Defender so my data gets toggled on/off every 15 minutes.

We're do you live im looking for a nexus s4g...I have a evo v 4g

North Carolina right now(Till I head back to Jersey for College)

So I'm getting a lot of mixed responses. :)

I actually forgot, i used to have a LG optimus V awhile back(before I got my nexus...that was A LONG WHILE AGO haha) It was decent service but i did have some issues with receiving text delays. Nothing as extreme as what was reported here on the EVO V.

I'm torn between the EVO V as it seems a lot of people recommend not getting it.

Anyone know if Straight Talk, Simple Mobile, H20 OR Red Pocket are good companies? For 50 bucks more, I can get a Galaxy Nexus but I just hate how cheap Samsung Phones look/feel.

So just to clarify, has anyone had success by calling Virgin? I think I saw some YouTube comments where a guy called in to Virgin, reached their 3rd tier of support, and they were able to do something with the phone to help them out.

I could also bring up the issue I'm having where my PRL won't update.

I'm going to attempt to get a replacement phone, and I'll see how it goes. I seriously doubt that there really are that many phones with bad hardware but we'll see what happens. There are apparently a ton of people that aren't getting this issue at all. Typical VM, reflash all the phones that are actually bad in a "minor" way and make money off of them. Boy are they wrong about their community who actually uses these phones...

Post if this clears up your issues, then we will know that maybe it is at least somewhat related to specific hardware.

Will do. Once I get the phone I will post back here what the branding is, software version, hboot details, etc

I filed a complaint to the FCC regarding this issue. Almost 2 months and still the same problems? Unacceptable. If you read this and are having the fluctuating signal problem, please put a formal complaint in with the FCC.

I'm not saying that you don't have a point but if you think that 6 weeks without a solution is unacceptable then you certainly didn't come over from the Triumph. :-(

I never had the call/message failed issues with my Triumph.

I didn't either where it returned a carefully worded error message but I had numerous dropped calls, late texts, found it impossible to run Bluetooth and wifi at the same time without being continuesly disconnected, green tint to every photo taken indoors, no gps, 3g speeds about 3-4 times slower and abysmal battery life. Plus no software updates, even my lowly Intercept got bumped to FroYo. I went through 6 replacement Triumphs before I finally gave up. And the saddest part is that it cost as much as the Evo and was Virgin's flagship phone.

Maybe mine was just not activated properly and they couldn't ever get it activated...who knows...When I get the replacement I'll be sure both phones are off when I do the swap and then wait for the email saying I've successfully swapped before I turn on the new one at all.

Just to let you guys know, I'm on day 3 without a radio shortage error. I was getting it at least once a day, sometimes twice. I had to do the ##CLEAR# /reset fix after each time. But a few days ago I just stopped getting it. Knock on wood...

Just to verify, you're using stock messaging right?

Some people see it a lot, some see it very little.

Everything I have read on it though, indicates the PRI file is the issue. No amount of replacement phones, re-activating, or resets on Virgin's end is going to fix it.

Sprint users who had great phones before experienced the exact same thing when they flashed our firmware. HTC is the only one who can fix it, officially at least.
