What just downloaded??

So... First let me say my first smartphone is a fascinate! Hooray! Yah, waiting on 2.2 sucks but still great phone, right?

Anyway, my phone died the other night and in the morning I turned it on for that last little bit of power to check my messages. When it loaded, there was a picture of the droid dude with a shovel. It said downloading, and warned me not to turn off target. I'm guessing target was my phone? annnd.. I'm pretty sure it died again before it was finished doing what it was doing. This all happened yesterday, 12/12, any idea what was going on?

I can also add that the update server has been unavailable every time I check for about at least three weeks. Not sure if that matters.

There is no update pending fyi, irregardless of what it tells you there is nothing

yeah it would have been all over the place if there was a pending ota, and since its not even in the test servers yet....fuggeddaboutit

What everyone seemed to miss in your question is the downloading part. You were simply in download mode. I have turned my phone off when its been there with no problem. How you got there unless you are running a custom theme I cannot answer hopefully some1 will clear this up.

Yah, thanks for noticing. I guess I'm not concerned with it if i didnt miss anything.. weird though
