Root What kernal are you using?

I'm new to the root world, and therefore don't know much about kernels. Im using netarchy 3.7.5, and I'm just wondering whether I can see/change any settings of the kernel, or if its just something that purely runs in the background...

Right Using Netarchy's 4.1.9.1 CFS.....Im bouncing between him an Kings Kernel

I was using Netarchy's kernel but it started lagging up my phone terribly. I switched to Kings and so far so good, no complaints. I just wish these kernels wouldn't have limits to the camera usage but I get why the devs set it that way (performance reasons)

Kernels just unlock some features in ur phone, like the FPS cap, overclocking, better battery life, etc... There's settings that u can change from the ROM, and setCPU is used to set up the overclocking. Search around a bit more and u will soon be an expert in this rooting stuff....

+1 don't even need to overclock kernel performs well right out of the box,I'm coming from 7.4havs825 and I must say 8.1 feels a lot better.

What ROMs does Snap work the best with?, im about to take it for a spin and see how it works...

I had been running CM6 with Snap8 and it was beautiful, but I couldn't find any solution for Wifi Tethering. Anyone running this set up figure out a way to wireless tether?

It is the new OTA that isnt out yet. Flipz is using this kernal in fresh 3.2. Ill tell you what, the combination of this kernal and rom have given me 20+ hours with 41% battery remaining. That is the number one priority for me.

I would use Fresh's Rom except that it is based upon the dreaded Sense which has destroyed their dialer by inexplicably removing the "bluetooth" button from it. If someone from HTC perchance reads this, can you explain to me who the GENIUS was that decided we would be BETTER off WITHOUT a bluetooth toggle on our dialer? I mean, you took it off ON PURPOSE (facepalm).

I am constantly flashing the latest BFS kernels from King. He is currently on #6 and so am I.
