I hate swype only because they have YET to release the stinking thing. And no matter what I have unistalled, the demo versions I get always say that they are expired right after I install them.

I am using the Droid X keyboard and can't seem to ever leave it. Swype is my 2nd choice.

can you tell me where you got the droid x keyboard? are you on froyo? i just tried it on my evo and it was force closing. had to uninstall it

nevermind, i found it. not only is it the 2.2 multitouch keyboard, but this guy actually has different color themes for it. pretty f'n amazing!

Seriously, if Android keyboards were as good as the iPhone keyboard, I wouldn't have ever had a hard time switching from the iPhone to Android.

Most of these keyboards are HORRENDOUS. I'm currently using the stock HTC_IME keyboard and the Droid X keyboard. I find that the Droid X keyboard is more accurate, but the auto-correct is horrid.

I've tried swype, smart keyboard but now I have IME, swiftkey, and droid x multitouch. Out of the 3 I have on my phone I use droid x the most.

I was using swype for months. Symbol and number input wasn't intuitive. Now using Ultra. It's much better.

I tried using 8pen for several days of practice, quite frankly it's too much of a learning curve for me, so I just uninstalled it.

Those who like swype should really do yourselves a favor and check out Ultra keyboard. You can't beat it's customization for the price. I tried the free version and bought it in less than an hour.

Im a fan of shapewriter. Seems fairly accurate. With the stock keyboard everytime i went to hit the spacebar i hit the period and would have periods in the middle of all my sentences.
