Guys I'm using Launcher Pro Plus too. But I faced some problems like I've set a 480x800 wallpaper on my fon and it looks nice. Bt after I rotate my homescreen vertically and turn it horizontally the wallpaper turned like it was stretched?? And it nvr went back to its original form n I have to select other launchers n select Launcher Pro Plus again for the wallpaper to work...

And yea is it ok to have like 304 launchers on an android?? I forced close those I'm nt using and relaunch it when I wanted to and close the others that I'm nt using... Is this ok? Thank you...

Add me to the list to go launcher EX users. I get minor redraws because I have powerstrip set as my primary home, but it's not bad at all. On my old phone, the droid x, the redraws took far longer making this combo set-up essentially unusable. Gotta love the power of dual-core.

FYI, I used to use LPP and even paid for ADW EX. However, I find go launcher more flexible with far better dev support. I really did like LPP when I used it, especially the ability to theme the widgets (many of which I paid for as well). But dev support has been really lacking as of late. I wish Fed would keep his word and come out with a completely rewritten version of LPP as he promised way back in March. But that's looking more and more like a pipeline dream now.

I used to use LauncherPro, then switched to ADW because of lag and redraws. When I got my Droid 3, I stayed stock for a bit...then I finally tried Go launcher EX. It is sooooo fluid on my droid 3, with no more redraws like I experienced with stock. I think it is clearly the superior launcher at this point.

I switched to Go Launcher EX yesterday, and I am LOVING it! Nice to be able to add as many screens as I want. :)

I agree with JohnDa- it's fluid, works flawlessly. Also nice to have 5 dock buttons instead of 4.

I have tried stock, ADW, Launcher Pro, Zeam and Go Launcher EX... I like Go Launcher the best. Seems to have all the options of the others plus many more and the interface is very intuitive. I have seen no lag.

These redraws are getting on my nerves with stock... I may give Go launcher EX a shot. Anyone know if the favorites widget that comes with stock disappears after removing home.apk? I'd rather not have two launchers running and sucking down my resources/battery...

EDIT: I went ahead and installed GoLauncher EX and removed the stock launcher. As expected all the sweet Blur widgets vanished along with it. Too bad, I was getting attached to that favorites widget. In any case, all the redraw issues I was having are now non-existent, and the phone is extra snappy. No more empty home screens for me either. Now to tweak this launcher...

I find the stock launcher is very good because of the ability to create application groups in the app drawer. So far I have created nine groups.

I ran Launcher Pro + on the D1 because I could create enough screens to segregate my apps into groups. Even then I had to make small icons to fit the largest group and combine small groups on a couple home screens.

The stock launcher comes with 5 home screens and I really only need two or three for the widgets, but I don't see any way to control the number.

Great platform out of the box for Motorola. Much better than the first time.

What you are describing is the app drawer.
You can use the stock app drawer with LPP, and even have the stock "application groups" you were talking about.

That's what I do. I use LPP as my home screen, but I use the stock app drawer.

hi all - been using Go Ex for a while now and is very good imo - just switched back to ADW - seems ok so far - not quite as slick as Go imo - but will see how it plays :)

cheers

I have to agree GO Launcher is amazing, i had loved launcher pro plus also i had paid for it as well , but GO launcher is 1 FREE...two they always updating, 3 very customizeable. 4 stable as well. honestly go launcher is the way to go , but its your preference so try them all out.

I have a D3 and have been using Launder Pro Plus but it has issues with my phone in that frequently when I unlock it, the designated home screen is black with the exception of the dock apps. I doesn't matter what my wallpaper picture is, I thought it might or which screen I choose as the home screen. My husband has the D3 as well and Launcher Pro and doesn't have the issue. So as of today I'm going to try Go and see if it has similar positive things that the Launcher Pro Plus does.

I'm using the Holo launcher that comes with the rooted Minimoto ROM. I may check out another launcher, not sure yet.
