What launcher do you use?

AOKP came with the Nova launcher. I didn't really like it. I've been using the GO Launcher for nearly a year now on a gingerbread device, and it seems to work fine on this device.

I just wanted to get other people's opinions on this subject. Like what's the advantage of these ICS only launchers like Apex and Nova?

I've used Nova since beta and bought Prime the day it went live. I've used Apex that is also good. Nova just seems faster.

I tried Nova Launcher the day I received my GNex and upgraded to Prime the next day. I've tried APEK and while it does some nice things, it missed a few features I liked in Nova Launcher.

It's great having the features of ICS native Launcher with a few additions that really make using the phone better.

Apex is my launcher of choice.

GO used to be my favorite, but doesn't seem to perform as well either with ICS, or whatever ROM I tried it with at the time.

Use Nova here. Glad most ROM's have it baked in as a system app so you get widgets in the app drawer. Used Go previously but prefer the look of stock which Nova allows.

Nova prime, their gestures are well beyond apex and for a couple bucks to support the work it is well worth it. Smooth on ct90 nightlies, with only the occasional missing notifications (probably cm9 on that one) either way best I have used and have tried them all from the beginning...

What's the wallpaper bug?

I used Nova for awhile, but recently switched to Apex because I can use gestures on the free version.

Sometimes when changing the phone to landscape the wallpaper picture shifts to the right leaving 1/4 of the screen blank.

I reported it to them, they said they could repeat it, then put out a fix.
The fix didn't fix that bug but it introduced something worse.
Now in landscape the picture is zoomed in and you can't see the full wallpaper.

I don't have Nova prime so I don't know exactly what the gestures can do.

With Apex there is swipe up/down on the dock icons.
There is also swipe up/down on the screen, 2 finger swipe up/down, double tap, and pinch to launch apps or functions.

What does Nova prime offer by way of gestures that Apex doesn't have?

Pinch in and pinch out, rotate clockwise and rotate counter clockwise. Also long press menu for Search though that is free version.

To the person that said that they are running Stock browser, that's great. However, you might want to try Nova or APEK as they provide Stock look and feel, with a lot of customizable features that really improve on what Google did with ICS.

Same and for some reason I was getting redraws occasionally on Nova. I love use gestures for pulling the notification bar down (without having to reach it when using one hand) and going into the phone settings (swipe up for me).

used nova, now apex. i go back and forth between those two, depending on which is the least buggy after each update. get a lot of black screens on both...

So what does nova have over stock. People keep saying nova completes them. I used stock for a day and nova for like an hour. I hated stock ics launcher.

the main features i like are the landscape homescreen, and multiple docks.

apex has many more gesture features with the free version.

What about Stock do you not like? What do you like about Go? It seems very un-ICS like.

I love that Nova provides gestures, the ability to skin with your own icons, add or remove homescreens to have as many as you prefer. Also widgets on the Dock.

Nova just pumps the stock launcher up so you can customize it however you want.

I can do all that with go launcher lol
Let me rephrase the question.
What does nova have over go launcher, adw, or any of these other launchers?

Bone stock experience. I prefer to feeling of knowing what the general Android experience is for even the most casual users. I enjoy following the developments between Android, iOS, Blackberry and Windows Phone, and I feel like it's a study in human behavior how certain features become the consensus in our time. When I overly customize the experience, I feel less like an ambassador and more like a secret agent.

Go launcher does not have all of the other features. You can't double tap, pinch in/out, two finger swipe up/down, or rotate clock/counter clockwise with go launcher.
