What phone do you X users plan on upgrading too?

How about instead of flat out bashing Android, you post your issues in a thread and see if they can be solved. None of my Android phones have ever been buggy on stock firmware. Roms are a different story.

iOS is worked on by developers who work on Mac OS which has been around for how many years? Compared to Apple, Android is STILL an infant. And just a fyi, Android and Windows are quite different. Putting the two in the same category just shows your ignorance.

If you are not happy with your android phone either ASK how it can be made better, OR simply leave AF without badmouthing Android. People here enjoy the operating system and have the phones for a reason

Well okay, I just meant it buggy and freezes up like Windows. I know many people with Android phones and we all have similar problems. Many times when scrolling through the apps its jumpy, many apps freeze up, many times it has frozen up and causes a chain reaction in which I have to pull the battery and wait the long ass booting time. Time = money and when trying to do business or use my phone for any other use and it does this nonsense, thats not good. Im here trying to figure out how to make this thing work smoothly. I understand its an infant, does that mean I cant complain?
Its one post though, if I was going around the forum BASHING android ban me in a second, I hate those people. But voicing my opinion in one post? one that was on topic even

If I made a thread with the problems I had with it, it would be called trolling. Just as it was when anyone said anything bad about the phone when I first got here. It was impossible to voice your opinion if it wasnt PRO Droid X

the only phone that's even remotely appealing to me right now would be the upcoming D3 I have been craving a hard button qwerty for quite some time. I haven't used one in 3+yrs and the addition of the larger screen is a plus. The only thing lacking would be 4G but that seems to have so many problems right now with battery issues and it not working properly that it might be a good thing to stay away from it anyways. Either way my contract is up in July but I'm gonna buy outright to hold onto the upgrade for later in the year when the Bionic drops.

I love my DX but my only complaint has always been the size of it. Even if were just 4in, I would be perfectly fine. I don't think I would want another phone this size again. So in saying that, I'm thinking of getting the DINC2. I would love to wait for another phone, but I just don't see any that are going to be < 4.3 in the near future. Another thing is my town will probably be the last place that gets 4G so I don't need to be paying more for a service that I will not be able to use.

What do you all think?

iPhone 5. if they come out with a 4G S, Im hanging with my X till the 5th gen.

I just cant stand the sh*tty quality and feel of these phones, I love the fit & finish of the iphone. I hate how buggy the android system is as well. I never ONCE had to reset my ipod touch cause it was frozen, I have had to do it MULTIPLE times on this POS android/windows bull. Laggy at times (I dont even have much of anything on my phone) just is typical Windows crap

My ipod has frozen more times than I can count :(

I just switched from the x to the Inc2 and it's the perfect size and form factor, I agree with you 4" feels to be the perfect size.

I really like the Inc2, yeah it ain't 4g and doesn't have the most impressive specs but it works really smooth and I really like Sense much better than blur.

Isnt it obvious that hes an Apple drone?

Bashing Windows and Android. What do the 2 have in common? They kick Apples ass

One phone has a real OS the other is an app launcher. We actually have the iPhone imbedded in all our Androids. It's called the app drawer. :p

I'm the opposite, I cant can't go with another phone until it is close in size to the X. I love the size of the screen.

same here. The reason I haven't gotten a Honeycomb tablet is because the DX screen is big enough to do most everything I need it to when away from my pc. A 4.5" screen would also be good. The Dell streak 5" screen is a bit too big however. It looks crazy holding it up to your face.

Same here, my ipod has also required numerous factory resets (performed by the genius bar folks). and the only things I use it for is for my 3 year old to watch some cartoons, and netflix. the ipod has already been exchanged twice under warranty, and all 3 show similar software issues (all on latest ios) and one even had a broken microphone.

My X has been the most reliable phone I've had (and I've had just about every android phone on Verizon and a few not on verizon), including iphones on verizon & att.

now that the official GB is out for the X, I'm going to hold on to the X until a dual core, LTE, front camera, 4.3" or bigger screen phone comes out on verizon.

The X is the first phone that got me away from upgrading every 3 to 6 months (my wife and my bank is thankful for that).
I've had my X since it was released in July of 2010 and it has been rock solid. Battery life is decent with the extended battery.

I have a few lines due for upgrades now, but I'm going to hold off till the Bionic or whatever name it is that has the specs I'm looking for above comes out.

With the new OSs over the past year the iTouch loses juice at a remarkable rate. You have to put it in airplane mode and kill all tasks in the multitask bar or you'll kill your battery in a few days. Note....this is with the iTouch OFF!

I'm in the same boat with a lot of "X" owners. We aren't eligible to upgrade until 3/12. However, even if I was able to upgrade now, I wouldn't. There just isn't anything that cranks my handle available now. Also, I do know that my next phone will be 4G capable. That and the fact that LTE won't be available here in Hawaii until late 2011. (Acording to Verizon) Actually LTE is available at the Honolulu International Airport, but I'm about 15-17 miles away so I'm not even in the extended 4G area.

I really like my Droid X. (A wise man told me, "Don't love anything that can't love you back")

So by 3/12 there should be some awesome LTE phone available from Verizon and that's the phone I'll be carrying.... Faster than a speeding bullit, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound..... well, maybe not that last one. I'm looking forward to it though....

See all you Droid X launch day buyers there....

See you there.

I'm shopping for a phone for my wife right now, and frankly I'm just like Bleh (she is using a Droid 1 we bought on craigslist).

For me, none of these phones are clear upgrades from the X. When that phone comes out, I'll know it, and I'll get it.

I agree 4.5 would be perfect, 5" would have to be really slim in order for it be appealing. problem with the streak is that it has a lot of plastic mass surrounding the screen cut that out and I'd prob go for something that big. Never need a tablet then.

I am eligible for an upgrade in October of this year but don't have an idea on what phone I want to get. I will say one thing though I can not wait to get a new phone, both my fiance and I have X's with nothing but problems. If I used mine for over 30 mins it will heat up and restart. Her's will just restart randomly through out the day. When we went to verizon with our issues they said "We haven't heard of any X's doing that before and You should do an insurance claim on them". Also my next phone will either be an HTC or iphone, never a motorola phone again
