Help What should my display be?

I am a huge twitter, facebook, and instagram user. So as you can imagine my battery drains rather fast. What can i change in my display settings to help my display drainage go down? I have heard from some that auto brightness helps save battery, but i also heard from others that it drains battery. Anyone know what is right??

There are a number of battery saving apps in the android market and was wondering if they actually work. And then which is the best one to use.

You can take your brightness off of auto and adjust it every time you can not see it clearly to the lowest possible setting that allows you to see it again. (I think that sounds right). This will lower your displays drain on your battery.

Thanks so much!

I've merged this thread with your "battery drain" one as they both basically deal with the same thing. It'll be easier for everyone looking for similar advice if it's all in the one place. ;)

Pretty much this ^^^
There are a lot of different things you can try-just have to experiment:)

Well can you help me out?

Just so you know and learn... Slug was performing a moderator task ( merging the two topics as they should have been just one topic to start with ) .... While mod's do assist in some cases, their "job" as it were isn't really for assistance in the manner you asked about... it is to see to it that users are posting properly, address spammer and/or trolling issues and things of that nature. They exist to "police" the forum so things don't get unruly and/or out of control.

So their work does help... just not in the way you are thinking of... they aren't here to do our ( your's and my ) bidding
