Help what will be lost? volt

With no remedies found to correct multiple weirdnesses on my volt, I'm sending it to LG for repair/replacement

Though I can't now find the source, I could swear that i read that data saved to my external card will be unretrievable when mounting it to the replacement BECAUSE IT'S THE SAME MODEL but would be retrievable if it were to a different model!

I know, this doesn't seem to make sense and now I'm beginning to wonder whether I didn't actually DREAM this

Comments?

That doesn't sound right to me. Any time I've put my sd card into another device, everything was still accessible. I think it'll most likely be a-okay.

Thx, Brian,

It's scary if I cant't distinguish (weird, LG-related) dreams from reality

The second part of my question is whether there'll be anything that's only saved to internal that can't be saved to my external card that I'll need to back up to something extra exterior (eg, dropbox)

You can hook your phone up to a PC and you should get two main directories in Windows Explorer - Internal Memory and SD Card. I would copy the entirety of both of these directories off to your PC or some other device before sending it in. There can be pictures and a lot of other things in the internal memory
