What's for dinner ?

I'm making sausage sandwiches with onions and peppers. We can get Fenway Sausages, which I'm braising in beer, while I cook down my onions and peppers. We'll load them up on rolls with some mustard and be good to go.

I ordered a surprisingly good pizza from Pizza Hut. Pepperoni, sausage, and beef on pan crust. I added some banana pepper rings to my slices and the wife had hers as delivered. The pizza was prepared to perfection and delivered pipping hot.... a rarity.

I had Pizza Hut Buffalo Chicken Melt for dinner.

Had a Pizza Hut pizza a few weeks ago and it was pretty darn good. They have improved 100% from the past.

Same sort of sandwich with many names. When I was just old enough to drive, there was a wonderful sandwich shop and the only one of its kind in town. It was called The Grinder Man. As I grew older many sub sandwich shops opened in town. Sub being short for submarine btw. My children and about everyone I know call that sort of sandwich a sub around my area. I still consider them a grinder. I think there is only one of the stores left in town, sad to say.

Speaking of sandwiches. Wichita was the launching pad for a number of eateries. Some made it big and some did not. Pizza Hut started in Wichita. So did White Castle and Freddy's. The one eatery that has been successful for over fifty years but never branched out is a burger place called Nu-Way. They either boil or steam the ground beef instead of frying. They spice it following the cook and add chopped onions and chopped pickles. It's different and quite tasty. Their Nu way of cooking the burger never caught on.

Chick Chick and sausage, put the sausage on a bit after this pic, peas with carrots and mac and cheese.

Butter and Garlic Powder a touch of Creole shake and 2 lbs of peeled shrimp in a skillet and sautee until they are orange.

Put them in a bowl with the garlic butter and enjoy a bit of heaven !

(There are two of us, eye could not eat 2 lbs of big shrimp, although I would like to try !)
